I love the beach, and all things ocean. I love the sound of the waves hitting the shore, the changing colors of the water that looks like liquid glass, the smell of the salt water, the feel of wet sand under my feet that makes me feel safe and grounded.
Being healthy physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually are the most important things to me. Second is my family. Next is providing value to others, and being able to work when, where and how I want, with a company and people I respect, like and trust, sharing products that I use and love, with unlimited earning potential. That’s what I’m all about, and I hope what I have to say and share resonates with you.
There seems to be a shift happening in our consciousness, where automatically accepting the old wisdom of our parents, and their parents, just doesn’t work anymore. Thinking and believing ‘that’s just how it is’ is no longer acceptable, as people, especially young adults, are realizing that how it’s always been is just not OK. People are finally waking up to how several big business industries, especially animal-based food producers, (meat and dairy), big pharma, traditional healthcare, and chemical producers, are only out for profit, and are ruining people’s lives, the environment, and spreading misery at an alarming rate.
I choose not to support these awful industries, and I do that by not spending money on their products. My intention is to help educate you about the alternatives that are available, and share what I’ve found to be better solutions for me and my family.
So, on to the positive…
What we put into our mouths and on our bodies, has a direct connection to our overall health and well-being.
The topic of ‘wellness’ is huge, so I’m starting with the basics: Food & Medicine.
I eat plants. Period. I guess you could say I’m a vegan, but I don’t like labels. I’ve done the research and experimented on myself for years, and I keep coming back to this: I feel so much better on a plant-based diet. I have so many choices, and nothing has to die for me to eat. Makes me super happy!
I’m not getting into any debates on eating meat and protein, which is a stupid argument, after all, where do cows, horses and elephants get their protein? Plants. Meat is just the middleman, and no one will convince me otherwise. Plus, it’s super hard on our bodies to digest meat and milk, it takes a long time, and the fat in animal products is not liquid at our body temperature. It’s solid, and gets stuck in our arteries, creating blockages and problems in our blood and circulatory system. Strokes and heart disease are the same disease, just different places where the plaque gets stuck.
Do the research. Read the book The China Study. This is the book that opened my eyes and changed everything for me.
Eating raw foods whenever possible is best, however, some cooked foods actually increase in nutrients when cooked. I will be sharing recipes that I love, including smoothies, veggie bowls and other hearty fare. I have a husband to feed, and he loves food, so I’m always looking for interesting recipes to try.
About Medicine: Doctors certainly have their place, and I’m so grateful to live in a country with excellent emergency care, especially in the event of an accident. We have a great system in place to stabilize someone after an emergency.
Disease prevention and wellness are a different story. Very little nutrition education is taught in medical schools, as healthcare professionals are instead taught how to perform surgery and administer drugs. This is where the money comes in. Preventing illness is not profitable, so many or most allopathic practitioners are not interested. Here’s an interesting fact: Approximately 120,000 people die each year in the US from properly prescribed medications. Want to read about it from Harvard? Here’s the LINK.
Ask yourself: How is this acceptable? Why isn’t anything being done to fix this? I think you know the answer… it’s all connected.
Bottom line is that you need to be your own health care advocate. There is tons of research out there now that can’t be deleted or stopped. You have a choice, and there are plenty of safe, effective alternatives that have been used for centuries. Plant-based medicine is the original medicine, it’s still widely used in many countries, and I’m happy to say that it’s becoming more mainstream in this country. Many healthcare providers are incorporating natural remedies with their standard care, and are getting excellent results without harmful side effects.
Herbs and oils have been used safely by thousands for thousands of years. As an example: Frankincense essential oil is an ancient compound that helps with so many things, including inflammation, wound care, bruising, immune system support, liver detox, brain and nervous system balance, focus, cellular health, skin support, etc.
This one oil is used for so many things, and is one that I use daily. The only essential oils I use and trust are dōTERRA. I’ve been using them for more than 4 years now, and I will continue to share what I love about these oils in my blog.
Once I learned about the amazing benefits of using oils on a daily basis, I was hooked. I use them for hormone balance, mood management, energy, relaxing, sleep, aches and pains, cooking, weight management… the list goes on. I’m very happy to say that I take zero medications, and manage my health with diet, lifestyle and the oils. And I can show you how.
Besides changing your food choices and health care, living a healthier lifestyle and removing toxins is crucial. What am I talking about?
Everything in your environment and everything you put on or in your body affects you. Lotions, soap, skin care, make-up, fragrances, clothing, hair care, household cleaning products, laundry detergents, cookware, toothpaste, hand sanitizers, etc., can have a huge impact on your overall health. Learning to replace these toxic products with safer, plant-based, effective and environmentally friendly ones is the key. And it can be done in steps.
Also, the water you drink, cook with, shower with and clean with is huge! Are you using clean, filtered water that is free from chlorine and fluoride?
Lots to discuss here, so please don’t get overwhelmed. I will be sharing what I do to make incremental changes that make the difference.
So, are you open to a new way of thinking about work?
This is what working with dōTERRA has given me, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity, and my ability to share it with the world, literally. Being part of a movement that promotes natural health and wellness is so refreshing, and I love that I have truly ‘meaningful income’ that supports small farmers and families all around the world!
They say your vibe attracts your tribe. If that’s so, then I’m putting out the vibes for beach loving, wine drinking, book addicts who are intelligent, caring, responsible entrepreneur types looking for a new opportunity. It involves helping people feel better physically and emotionally by sharing essential oils, educating them about plant-based wellness alternatives and a better way to create a residual income pipeline. You must be open to ongoing self-improvement, and becoming a mentor and leader to your team members. To assist you in learning, we have excellent training and support systems in place, both online and in person.
With this opportunity, you choose your level of play, based on how much time and effort you are willing to expend to reach your financial goals:
Spare-time you can earn a few hundred per month, and support your oil habit.
Part-time you can supplement your income, and earn a few hundred to a few thousand per month.
Full-time you can replace your income, and generate massive wealth, over time of course.
If this is intriguing to you, and you’re open to learning more, I’d love to hear from you. Until then, I will keep posting content and information that has been helpful to me and my team, and I hope you enjoy it too!
